Origin & Intent

A framework written for the expert the internet keeps overlooking.

The Receipts Method was authored by Chante Moore in 2019 after a decade of watching brilliant founders, consultants, and speakers disappear into the noise — over-qualified, under-paid, and constantly mistaken for someone less accomplished in the room. It is not a content calendar, a posting schedule, or a tone-of-voice guide. It is a positioning architecture: a sequenced system for deciding what you are known for, who you are known to, and what it costs to work with you — before a single piece of content goes live.

Every Brand Elevation engagement runs on this five-pillar sequence because the order matters. Positioning before messaging. Message architecture before visibility. Visibility before pricing authority. Pricing authority before monetization. Skip a pillar and the next one collapses; the work compounds in the order it was written. The method is taught live by six certified brand strategists on the Chante Moore Online team, capped at twenty-five members per cohort so every graduate is reviewed, named, and placed — not funneled.

The framework is referenced in Forbes (June 2023), Black Enterprise (October 2024), and Essence Magazine (2022), and underwrites a 4.9/5.0 Trustpilot average across 612 verified reviews.

Pillar One of Five

01

Strategic Positioning — the lane only you can own.

Positioning is the first pillar because nothing downstream works without it. It answers a single question that most established experts have never been forced to write down: what are you the undisputed answer to? Until that answer is on paper, every piece of messaging, every podcast pitch, every pricing page is a coin flip.

What it actually means inside the method

Inside the Receipts Method, positioning is a written statement of the specific category you intend to lead, the audience you will be known inside that category, the problem you solve that adjacent experts do not, and the proof point that disqualifies the competition. It is not a tagline. It is not a vibe. It is a four-line document the strategist and client argue over for two weeks until every word is load-bearing.

What changes once it is locked

A locked positioning document rewrites the rest of the business. The offer stops competing on price because it now occupies a category of one. Inbound leads arrive pre-qualified because the language on the website is doing the filtering. Podcast bookers, conference programmers, and press editors can place the client in a single sentence. Graduates of Brand Elevation report a 2.4x average rate increase within the first 90 days — and the positioning pillar is where that number is set.

Why it has to come first

Message architecture without positioning is copywriting. Visibility without positioning is noise. Pricing authority without positioning is an argument the client will lose to a louder competitor. The other four pillars of the Receipts Method are designed to be deployed on top of this one — which is why the first two weeks of every cohort are spent on this single document, and why 71% of graduates land a podcast feature, paid speaking gig, or book deal within six months of completion.

Pillar Two · Message Architecture

A signature message that travels with you — from the podcast intro to the closing slide.

Positioning is the thesis. Message architecture is the language the thesis is delivered in. Without it, a brilliant founder re-tells their story differently in every room, and every room remembers a different person.

The Receipts Method treats message as a designed artifact, not a vibe. We build a 90-second signature narrative, a controlled vocabulary of seven to nine recurring phrases, a contrast hook that frames your work against the lazy default in your industry, and a closing line that names the outcome your buyer is actually buying. The deliverable is a written Message Architecture document — twelve pages, plain prose, no jargon — that you carry into podcast interviews, keynote prep, sales calls, and onboarding emails for the rest of your career.

Pillar Three · Visibility

Visibility is a system, not a hustle — and the calendar is the receipt.

The default advice is to "post more on LinkedIn." The Receipts Method treats visibility as a deliberate, channel-by-channel plan: where you show up, in what format, on what cadence, and against which bookings target. Inside Chante Moore Online, that work is led by a former talent booker who reverse-engineers the patterns that actually move a guest from cold email to confirmed appearance.

  1. 01

    Channel audit & seasonal calendar

We map twelve months of windows against your offer cycles, podcast release calendars, conference submissions, and editorial deadlines. Every appearance is scheduled before the quarter begins, not pitched the week you need a launch.

  2. 02

Owned channels at a sustainable cadence

LinkedIn, newsletter, and short-form each get a defined lane, a defined format, and a defined weekly time budget — usually under five hours per week across all three. We choose the channels your buyer actually lives on, then we protect the cadence.

  3. 03

    Podcast & stage pipeline

Our former talent booker maintains a live database of producers, bookers, and programming directors segmented by tier. You receive a weekly shortlist of warmed targets with one-line pitch angles tied to your message architecture — not a generic media list.

  4. 04

    Earned placements, not vanity features

We prioritize appearances that convert — podcasts whose audiences match your buyer, conferences with published attendee rosters, and editorial outlets with paying readership — over appearances that look good on a screenshot. Seventy-one percent of graduates land a podcast feature, paid speaking gig, or book deal within six months.

  5. 05

    The visibility ledger

Every placement, every stage, every bylined article is logged against attributed pipeline — a shared ledger the team reviews bi-weekly. Visibility stops being a mood and becomes a metric you and your bookkeeper can both read.

Expertise without a repeatable message is a hobby with overhead. The work is not louder — the work is precise.
